Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac(Pre-stevie nicks, great chicago esque blues shit) John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, Clapton/Cream, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, all sorts of shit. Delaney and Bonnie. RAY CHARLES. Wes montgomery, spencer davis group, steve winwood in general, wu tang, A tribe called Quest. KRS-1, Eazy-E, all the early Death Row records stuff, NWA. Buck Owens. JOHN HARTFORD. FLatt & Scruggs. OG Metallica. Zeppelin, Sabbath, Ac/DC, THIN LIZZY. Emmylou Harris, Buddy Miles, Wilson Pickett, Sam cooke, Otis Redding, all that old soul stuff. Little Richard. Buddy Holly. Fats Dominoe, The Coasters. CCR. Hendrix. B.B. King is slowly but surely becoming one of my favorite guitarists/human beings ever. Sure I've listened to his stuff for awhile and saw him in concert last year when he was like 80 and still ripping(which was phenominal), but the more "mature" as a guitar player i get, the more i understand why he's such an icon to the blues players. You may say to yourself: "Ryan, BB King? That dude sucks, he can't play a million notes a minute in the galagaxian 5 mode!" Well asshole, just listen to the notes he does play, and the ones he DOESNT, which makes a great guitarist, to know when to shut the fuck up. Most shredders (Except that asshole Yngwie)are overrated anyways IMO. I'm pissed.oh yea the fuckin Everly Brothers kick ass too!
