I feel like I'm pigeonholing myself by listing too many interests, but here are just a few: music (mostly death metal, but I find myself appreciating more and more music each day), disc golf, football (GO LIONS!!!), hockey, etc. Pretty much, I'm willing to try anything which can get my friends excited. My philosophy works something like this: if several of my friends tell me I should try something because I might enjoy it, I'll try it. After all, there are reasons why they are my friends.
Barry Sanders, Claire Danes, Maynard Keenan, whomever the current President of the United States is, Paul McCartney.
Mainly death metal, but I appreciate a variety of other music. My favorite bands include (in no particular order), but are not limited to: Deicide, Slayer, Hate Eternal, Chris Barnes-era Cannibal Corpse, The Beatles, Death, The Misfits, Immolation, Tool, and Pink Floyd. The entire list of artists whose music I appreciate would probably take me more than a day to type, and I'd still leave someone out.
I know a good movie when I see it, but a few of my favorites are Silence of the Lambs, Terminator 2, Kill Bill (1 & 2), BASEketball, Tommy Boy, Equilibrium...this could go on all day, but I'm done.
It's funny. Here I am with 'Television:' in front of me. I feel as though I should rant and rave about how I get over two-hundred channels, yet when I turn on the television, the same three or four channels seem to be worth watching, while the others simply regurgitate already mediocre ideas. Since I'm not going in to that, I'll simply say that it's a safe bet if I'm watching television, some sporting event has my attention.
A good book, for me, is something I can read in small doses and still appreciate. This is to say I find the toilet to be the greatest place to sit and read. It is probably because of this that I read more of the newspaper each day than anything else. It isn't that I find longer books, or books which require my undivided attention intimidating. But I don't usually read as a form of relaxation.
If you've never poured salt on a slug, don't bother. I can tell you right now that indeed they do shrivel up and die. Don't senselessly waste the life of even one more defenseless slug just to "see what will happen". I just told you what happens.
