I'd like to meet:

Barack Obama. He seems to be a man of good character. One who sincerely cares about the world and its inhabitants. He appears to be a man of God and is very intellectual. I believe he will one day become President and that he will lead us forward with grace and solid policies with the same fervor as he seems to possess for world issues.

Books:

I have a lot of favorite books. Notables include: I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou; The Color Purple by Alice Walker; Sisters of the APF by Zane; A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry; Beloved by Toni Morrison; A Day Late and A Dollar Short, Waiting to Exhale, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Disappearing Acts, and Mama by Terry McMillian; Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston; Sister,Sister, A Liar's Game, Between Lovers, Friends and Lovers, Milk in My Coffee, and the Other Woman - all by Eric Jerome Dickey; and a host of other books by authors like: Brenda Jackson, Mary Monroe, Mary B. Morrison, Donna Hill, and John Grisham. As you can see I'm a big fan of African American authors.

Heroes:

My mother is the strongest, most intelligent woman I know. She came from a meager background and still managed to go to college and attain a career that has spanned almost four decades. She is kind and inspiring with much grace. She is a nurturer, proud but humble. She possesses a belief that their is a higher being--one who guides us and keeps us safe. She is everything that I aspire to one day become.
