However in HIPHOP music culture, there are loyal disciples that spawn the globe from Japan to New York, Los Angeles to Miami,Chicago to Boston etc..as for the New England states, the HIPHOP world is most familiar with Guru, Benzino as well as the R&B super group New Edition, which launched the success of Bobby Brown,as well as Bell BIV Devoe(BBD). Consequently there is another infectious emcee on the rise: his name is NATO. Most commonly known to civilians as Nathan Stevenson"Nato" was born and raised in the forgotton city of Springfield Massachusetts. In case your wondering; Springfield Mass is the famous birthplace of basketball,and home to the Basketball Hall of Fame. On the flipside,Springfield Mass is also the birthplace of the notorious gun manufacturers Smith & Wesson. Ultimately it appears as if Springfield is definatley calling the shots...anyway you look at it!Located on the outskirts of Boston, Nato has made his emcee reputation known throughout the streets and underground HipHop scene. Since the age of 13, Nato has rhymed tenaciously.His career began with the locally popular and controversial rap group the "Illegal Bastardz"(performing under the name "evil adolesant")where he remains a street legend. After receiving a lot of attention and heavy rotation on college radio the group decided to part ways due to creative differences.Nato was now born...he started with perfecting his lyrical skills as well as his lyrical content. Nato''s lyrical style is very unique, reminisent of the golden era emcees with evidence of Tupac, Rakim and the Notorious BIG. Nato delivery is simply wicked and somewhat unassuming, combining honesty,wit ,charm and raw verbal attacks with his intense and often electric performances. Nato's intent is to change the game by reaching the youth while challenging them to reflect the social commentary of the world.Nato's intent is to breathe life into this stale body of HipHop bling and boredom. Now after years in the making , Nato reigns as a solo artist and bandleader prepared to take on the world.
