About Me

Get this FREE MySpace layout and more at MySpaceOrYours.net
I'm a dreamer and an idealist and (I think) intelligent and witty. I like to think that I'm forever evolving. But I'm a sensitive soul and still fight to keep the black dog from my door.
I enjoy making other people laugh. A shared sense of humour can make for a beautiful connection. I like to laugh til I wheeze. I was happily single for a long while, but I'm now in a relationship with a lovely bloke from Melbourne who has three young children. The Melbourne-Sydney love commute has gone beautifully and in September 2010 I'm moving to Melbourne to be with him full-time!
I began studying for a Masters in Writing at UTS in Sydney part-time and hope to continue it at one of the Melbourne universities in the near future. I want to publish my fiction and so need to write more.
I love dogs but can't have one in my tiny apartment nor in our rented house. One day!
I love elephants. I still have my childhood woollen elephant, Elli with me. I foster one of the elephants, Lualeni, who featured in the ABC documentary, "Elephant Diaries".
I think my eyes are my best physical feature....but my man tells me it's my lips. I wear glasses (and refuse to wear contact lenses cos they scratch my eyeballs). I used to have a real weight problem. I've lost some weight but still need to lose more and would like to enjoy and do more exercise.
I'm an editor/writer by profession. This makes me passionate about words and sentences. The downside of this is that I get extremely annoyed by people writing poor sentences. I wish the world valued literacy more.
I dream of leaving the rat race to live on the coast somewhere, sometime. I'm no sun bunny but I love the beach in Winter. I'd like to write, dabble in old wares and have a dog.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I was looking to meet a bloke who's amusing, intelligent, big hearted and grounded. A man who's honest, who doesn't play 'games'. A man who doesn't judge a book by its cover but delves into the pages...and after a long wait, I found him.
I'd love to meet Brian May before a Queen concert cos I've admired him for a long time.
People who inspire me to do the best I can.

A Sydney moment

On a sunny, late Sunday afternoon in February, I stood outside the Drama Theatre of the Opera House with a programme in my hand. I was about to see my favourite French actress, Juliette Binoche dance....

I've just finished the first week back at work after the Christmas break - and it was TERRIBLE! I didn't want to do my work. In fact, I resented having to do it. I felt like a lab rat sitting under th...

Do you love elephants?

Queen & Paul Rodgers of Free - Wishing Well
