Little Stevie Vai, Joni Mitchell, Lennon & Harrison, Plant & Page, StevEVO Vai, Mike Portnoy, Ted Nugent, Eddie Van Halen, Tom Keifer, Matthias Jabs (Scorpions) Janis Joplin, Chopin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Donovan, Dylan (I can take it) and a few more Dead & Living rock stars. Matthew McConaughey, Al Pacino, Meryl Streep, Marilyn Monroe, Robin Williams, George Carlin, Ellen DeGeneres, Bill Cosby. Albert Einstein, Mark Twain, Maya Angelou, Ghandi, Anne Frank, and a few more dead Geniuses, Scientists and Writers. A few dead Presidents, one living ex-Prez & his brilliant wife. And yes...Darling Stevie Vai. I'd also like to meet a few of my Deceased Ancestors so I could ask them some pertinent questions and put myself out of misery with this genealogy brick wall I'm constantly hitting. Did I forget to mention that If I could come back as anyone on earth it would be Pia Vai? I know...I'm reeeally shallow by nature. Too much of my life has been spent on doing what "FEELS" good and oh, how good it would feel to be laying beside Little Stevie Vai!

"The Wall" by Pink Floyd, The Color Purple, Johnny Depp movies are always superior, The Wizard of Oz, The Lord of the Rings, Contact (it brings science & religion together where it should be). The Bad News Bears II with Billy BoB Thornton was hysterical (love that Billy BoB) & the little blonde boy reminded me of my baby bludder. Steel Magnolia's because it portrays women how they really are (or should be) and let's see...Almost anything with Steve Martin, Al Pacino, Nick Cage, Robin Williams, Jim Carey, Meryl Streep, Anthony Hopkins.
eh...History Channel, Some reality shows, Grey's Anatomy, Cold Case, House, Criminal Minds, John Edward Crossing Over, Discovery, Reruns of old comedy sitcoms. Actually I enjoy reading over watching the Telly... I have a huge imagination and what I imagine is usually much better than what's put out on TV.
Many, many, many! Voracious reader of many books at one time. I'm one of those that can read a six hundred page book in a week. I couldn't even begin to list the literal hundreds of books that I've read and enjoyed in my lifetime. Books are the greatest source of knowledge that I can think of. Remember Farenheit 451 where you were not allowed to own a book? That would be my worst nightmare other than not being able to listen to my music. Music and reading keep me semi sane, lol!Currently I am reading four..."The Sea" by John Banville, "The Truth with jokes by Al Franken, "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them" also by Al Franken, and one that I will certainly have to renew to get through it is Shakespeare, The Biography" by Peter Ackroyd. These should keep my brain entertained. As a young girl I used to read by a nightlight under my covers so my mother wouldn't see the light on. My bulb was amber and to this day I use amber bulbs to sooth my soul. It gives me a sense of calm. I once read "Alice in Wonderland, Through the Looking glass" out in my Mother's 1954 Ford in the pouring rain. It was awesome and I think I was about 8 years old. I stayed out in that car all day in my own world of fantasy.Later I learned to love John Steinbeck reading "Grapes of Wrath" which was quite a challange for a 15 year old. It was my hillbilly family in a nutshell coming out to California during the depression. Starving, pickin' cotton, living under trees and doing whatever they could do to survive. I've since read most of Steinbeck. I fell in love with a writer that lived a lot of her life in China and her name is Pearl S. Buck. Two of my favorites were "The Imperial Woman" and "The Good Earth." Books I could hardly put down. My last favorite book I read was written by Donovan Leitch, better known as the famous folk singer and writer "Donovan" and it is called "Hurdy Gurdy Man." Awesome book. Harold Robbins is a fantastic writer, as well. I once read a book by Edgar Casey called "There is a River" and it really touched me. And how about that Samuel Langhorn Clemmons? Wow...I could bore you and go on forever with book after book but these are just a few of my favorites. Reading is a source of escapism for me, but also a huge source of knowledge. Cracking open a book is better than cracking open a beer, and for me that's something, lol!
