About Me

My real name is Chris Thornhill.
I'm a damn good drummer by night, and a computer dude by day.
I like to go out and have a few beers and a couple 'o shots. Sometimes more than a few. If I'm not playing somewhere, I like to check out other live bands or sing Karaoke, Elvis mainly, but I'll do anything.
When I get burnt out or broke on the club thing, I love to just sit home and chill, preferably with someone. When I'm home, I love to cook... it's great if you like rich seasoned food with sauteed onions, garlic, butter and olive oil.
I also love to go out to eat. I'll try new things all the time, but my favorites are sushi and steak. I could eat sushi everyday, especially if it comes from my favorite place, Kobe in Independence, MO. I prefer my steaks from Longhorn, simply because they always cook it right and I love the seasoning.

A beautiful girl that will put up with all my weird idiosyncrasies. One who likes my cooking (who wouldn't). One who tells me I'm the best drummer in the world (even though I'm not), but is honest with me when I'm really playing like crap. One who doesn't mind me being lazy and not cleaning the house everyday. One who doesn't freak out when my dog poops on the kitchen floor because it's too cold and wet outside. One who thinks it's cute and romantic when I sing Elvis songs to her. Music:

I listen to ALL kinds of music. My favorite band is Rush, obviously. But I mostly play dance rock in the bands I'm in. I listen to country because my past relationships have been country lovers. I grew up on Elvis. My Dad is an Elvis impersonator, and I do a little of that too. But take me to a club, and I'll shake it the best way this white boy can to anything.

Movies:

If it's 2 1/2 stars or less, I'll probably like it.

Television:

CSI:Original, Law and Order:Criminal Intent.. but only with Goren and Eams, Good Eats:Alton Brown, Iron Chef America, Family Guy, South Park, and pretty much any stand up comedy. My DVR is a busy machine.

Books:

Yeah, ok.... I think the last book I read was The Vampire Cronicals. Before that was Ivanhoe in high school.

Heroes:

My heroes are my favorite drummers... Neil Peart and Dave Weckle.

I have no problem with people using slang, and I purposely use wrong words, in certain situations, just to be goofy. But what really "grinds my gears" is when people don't know which word to use corre...

How old?

Well, it's only a few weeks away. Once it happens, I feel like so many things are going to change... just 'cause of a number. Yep, I'm turning 40. I don't feel 40. I don't look 40. I definately don't ...
