Well, varied and lots, and pretty much willing to have a go at almost anything once. Current interests are: ...Music (always have been interested in it....I'm a drummer, I also sung a bit too)...Cricket (Dont ask...I play for a team here in Edinburgh, and I've always enjoyed hitting things with a bat :) )...Playing computer games (Gimme a break, I'm a bloke....we never really grow up)....Movies to an extent, although I've never been a huge cinema buff or anything...and I guess a current interest or drive is to get out of the house and meet folk :)...oooh, and tattoos fascinate me.
Anyone :)Well, if we're talking about famous people, I guess a start would be Aaron Lewis of Staind. Basically so I could have a conversation about the inspiration or reasons behind his lyrics. His songs strike a bit of a chord with me I guess :)Who else.....hmmm....can't think of anyone really. I'll have a longer think about this and come back to it. Outside famous people, I'd just like to meet folk to spend time with....maybe one day, if anyone's outright silly enough, someone else to love. That's a long shot, but who knows, maybe one day I'll find someone I can trust enough to open up to again :)
Oooo varied.....Staind, Stone Sour, Nickelback, Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, Ueickap (Rather good....found them by accident), Nirvana, Pearljam, Erasure (yup, it's true...I'm old remember!), Del Amitri, Three Doors Down, Shinedown, The Exies, My Chemical Romance, Jimmy Eat World, The White Stripes, Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Blue Oyster Cult, Billy Talent, The Bluetones, Crowded House, Dropkick Murphys, Fall Out Boy, Foo Fighters, Kula Shaker, Pink, Snow Patrol, Thunder (Good old British Rock is that! :D)......load of other stuff, but if I keep going on, I'll be here for months! They're currently what I'm listening to though.....
Again, kind of oddly varied, although (being a bloke) I like Action, Sci-Fi and Comedy really......Fifth Element, Leon, Event Horizon, Pitch Black, White Noise, Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, stuff like that. Oddly though, one that always seems to stick in my head is The Green Mile. No idea why, but that film always struck something in me for some reason. It's a bit sad, but I also love cartoon films like Hoodwinked, Finding Nemo, stuff like that :)
Don't watch a huge amount of TV any more. I avoid soaps like the plague as they drive me mental, but I enjoy watching certain documentaries occasionally....there was one not all that long ago about Blackbeard the pirate that kicked arse. The occasional reality things about cosmetic surgery interest me a touch....the absurd lengths that people go to make themselves look fake and plastic always made me think how lucky I was that I don't like fakeness. Oh, and I like watching Spongebob Squarepants! (Yeah, I know...don't say it!)
Don't read as much as I used to, but I used to read fantasy/sci-fi stuff.....authors like Gemmell, Pratchett, Weis & Hickman, Eddings and of course, Tolkien....plus a few others too.
Interesting one this.....my hero is anyone who has managed to come out of a long term relationship (where they weren't the one who caused the end of it), and kept their world together long enough to meet someone else and live happily ever after :)Other than those, I have a couple that I would class as heroes I guess....Aaron Lewis is one, for putting his soul on display in his songs, Steven Kennedy from Tribal Body Art who did my Tattoos (I just wish I had the artistic ability to do what tattooists do), "Fairy" from Tribal Body Art (Who is one of the few pretty girls I've met who got tattooed and is proud to show them off), Freddy Mercury (for having one of the most unforgettable voices ever), Keith Moon (for being an insanely good drummer) and a few random others.
