who the hell cares about genre anymore?

About Me

These guys have been playin' a variety of stuff for years... jason, johnny and val were in 80lbs of Basset Hound, which had a run in the 'Borque, playin some memorable shows.Chokecherry Ranch evolved outta weekly chill-time jammin' and the chance meeting of Fast Heart Mart, who lives down the street from johnny and offered a hell of a deal for doin' some recording in his studio (Extra bonus - real fun dude to work with and makes the most outta tiny space and wacky schedules). Other folk had joined us periodically for the jammin' and helped in the evolution of these 4 songs. We're hopin' do keep jammin' with them at various times... around campfires, in the D'burgh's garage... there's so much inspiration to be gleened from all these great folk (i'm thinkin' of Todd, Persephone, Flop, Randal, Don, da Nacke's ... the list could go on...the EP (a poignantly rough production to be titled "little green room") was recorded with just Jason and johnny, with a bit of guest vocals from Persephone. it'll probably never see the light of day as a completed project, but the tracks we have up are from this project. the songs are reletively rough cuts and the full band has definitely taken 'em to another level.naturally, we are lookin' at tryin' to record the new level... stay tuned.i hope to see ya'll at a show soon!
