Here I am. Rock you like a hurricane.

About Me

I a free, whole, complete being. I am in love with the gift of Life. In first grade I used to love to climb up the inside of the fire escape slide tube, so I could slide back down it. In fourth grade, my friend and I would sit on the hot blacktop road and pop bubbles in the tar, or we would sneak out to the abandoned coal mines and explore. In high school, I had no idea how pretty or cool I actually was because I was wasting so much time trying to be pretty or cool. In college, I drank alcohol every day and then wondered why I was so depressed. I also read a lot of great books. These days I own my own business and enjoy the heck outta my town. I love to walk. I love watching the trees go through their changes, and I love people-and-dog-watching. And eavesdropping, although otherwise I am quite respectful of others' privacy. I adore stationery and cards and glue and paint. I am committed to spiritual growth and becoming a better person, for the benefit of the whole world. I just started teaching Nia. I volunteer. I give gratitude. I hug. And I like cookies and olives. But not at the same time. I eat a mostly vegan diet these days, for all the reasons you might expect. Anyway, that's me. If you want to know more, you can ask.

I love this town

Where else can you see a pickup truck full of pirates cruising down the road and just wave at them because it's totally normal? One night, after the Seafair parade, I was cooling my heels at  Zak...

I'm NOT Okra

This morning I had this dream that I was a walking, talking stalk of celery with an identity crisis (I thought my name was Okra). I stood about three and a half feet high, and you know the leaves that...
