Teacher, author,illustrator( not a very good one), skier, snowboarder, mountain biker, surfer( need all of that in my life) oh yeah I suck at surfing but can only get better. Used to like to skate*board now I like to watch the boys skate! I have degrees in both Anthropology as well as Education. Travelled to seven different states in mexico studying the aztec and mayan ruins- that was really cool! Also spent 14 weeks studying Japanese Macaques on a primate observatory in Texas- that was one of my favorite things I have ever done- 700 freeranging monkeys on a 3500 acre observatory. Spent the last two years in Haleiwa / Sunset Beach area on the north shore of Oahu working the school system. The last ten years I have lived in whistler, utah, valdez alaska and the north shore of oahu-.Went back to the north shore for four months before heading back to Canada after 12 years.I spent several months in Europe as well travelling, skiing and snowboarding Chamonix, France, Verbier, Switzerland, Courmeyer, Italy as well as Spain, and the UK. Nice to be home around family. I love seeing live music, playing the guitar and sad I sold my amp :( sometimes seeing the world is more important though- Throughout my years away I have met many amazing people and made friends all over the world. Its been tough going from one place to another but I wouldn't trade it in for anything in the world. I have stood on some of the highest peaks and swam in some of the most beautiful waters from the Pacific to the Indian Ocean. I'm greatful for the opportunity to see so many beautiful places and meet so many great people.I expereienced a great loss when I was 18, lost my brother. If I could give anyone ever some sound advice , I would say that tomorrow is always brighter especially in a new and different land. Take advantage of life but don't take it for granted. Life can be beautiful if you allow beauty in your life. Being away for so long and doing so many amazing things made me appreciate life again- cuz it was hard there for awhile- Rest in Peace Jav -. I don't think I am finished yet.......so much more..........like south america!! next trip ~~Love my nephews!!!!=]
