About Me

1. I am a father of two sons, 1 attending Rochester Institute of Technology, and 1 a junior at Hanover High School.2. I am a visual artist, doing large scale abstract paintings that are, among other things, a convergence between light and mass - in other words, they tend to be sculptural or 3-dimensional.3. My current occupation is attorney, focussing on Intellectual Property Management and Business Law, and also practising domestic and real estate law, and I also provide counsel to other attorneys who need an attorney with many years of engineering and technology experience under his belt.4. I have been an engineer and designer, for over 30 years, and despite my current occupation, continue to practice in this field as well.5. I love politics - I am extremely liberal, and a strong environmentalist, and hold a couple local positions.

My Interests

Art; Music; Engineering &Technology; Robotics (particularly the FIRST Robotics competition, for which I coach a local team); and Politics.

I'd like to meet:

Differnt people. One caveat: anyone I meet must understand and accept that my sons come first in my life.

Music:

Rock, almost any kind. I like to stay current, and pay attention to "modern" music.

Movies:

Too many to name. I like movies, and enjoy going to the cinema.

Television:

Don't watch it all that much. Dr. Who on Sci-Fi.

Books:

Way too many to really list, but some favorites are "Look Homeward Angel", the "Dune" series, books by Jodi Picoult (who is a local author and generally nice person), sci-fi by Allen Steele, Neil Stephenson, Frank Hebert and other greats in that genre.

Heroes:

A few people who I know are heroes to me. Because they are real people, and mostly private, I really don't feel comfortable naming them, since they might feel embarrassed (and I don't want to swell their heads). I can say though, that they've taught me much.
