I'm a MIDI composer who writes music in the style of video games, mostly from the Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 eras. I don't currently write music professionally, but I'd like to very soon. I've been writing music using MIDI for almost a decade now.
Everything you hear (unless otherwise noted), was written and sequenced completely from scratch, even the drumlines. While my compositions are inspired by the general style of game music, I don't consciously borrow any ideas or melodies from existing video game songs (though occasionally I have by accident :P). In other words, unless otherwise noted, they're not arrangements or "ReMixes" of existing songs by other composers.
So, here's the deal with this page. I'm going to switch up the songs in the myspace player every week or so. Much of it will be General MIDI stuff, so I hope people don't mind the sound quality too much.
