I thought myspace is masturbatory, but then I thought what the hell's wrong with masturbation

About Me

Hmm, I hate labels, so this is some of what I do... I do magic and move energy as often as I can. I love to drum and to dance in the trance and think the world would be a much better place if everyone regularly practised some form of ecstatic release. I listen to audible books (unabridged only, please, I do have my pride) and a very eclectic mix of music. I make mead and occasionally drink like Thor, but mostly not. I also make other stuff, just about anything that strikes my fancy, and tend to a bit of technophilia. I often think too much, but I keep telling myself that I'm getting over that. I have a very open mind and generally refrain from judging others. In fact, I've been told that I'm so non-judgmental that I have no judgment! Of course, I don't agree.

My Interests

magic and ritual, music and trance, paths to ecstatic experience, books, making mead, polyamory

I'd like to meet:

Always interested in meeting people who are actively working on personal evolution, especially those who don't take themselves or life in general too seriously.

Music:

How to describe my tastes? My default setting, the background music of my life, is what I consider AAA or adult contemporary, sort of Radio Free Santa Fe before they sold out, Everything but the Girl, Sarah McLachlan, Indigo Girls, But then, I love Tool and NIN, still listen to Zeppelin, and love to trance to Govinda or Enigma or James Asher. Recently got turned on to Dark Metal and techno trance, so much music, so little time!

Movies:

As with good fiction, I like films that are thought- provoking, intelligent, and preferably somewhat quirky. I'm not much for most entertainment, I prefer to be an active participant, if only mentally.

Television:

Not much, actually, who has time? But, I eventually end up seeing every South Park, and especially love it when they nail me. I also like to zone late at night with Discovery Science or The History Channel.

Books:

Tom Robbins, Margaret Atwood, John Irving, Nikos Kazantzakis, Neal Stephenson

Heroes:

Noam Chomsky, Zappa, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, Michael Moore, Al Franken, John Stewart, the Dalai Lama
