____________________________________________________________ __Andrea Gastaldello was born on March 22, 1973 in Castiglione delle Stiviere in the province of Mantua, Italy. A self-taught musician, he began studying music at the age of fourteen, beginning with classical guitar. After several years of playing in various rock groups, Andrea became interested in electronic music. He met several maestri who helped him broaden his knowledge of electronic music as well as other more traditional and classical genres. He participated in seminars on contemporary music and continued his studies on composing. In 1996 he worked for an Italian dance music label called ‘D.J. MOVEMENT’ and recorded several pieces of house and hardcore music. Based on one of his ideas, D.J. MOVEMENT produced a tune called ‘Break it Up’ recorded by the group Hard Concert, which was sold in Europe and Japan. In 1997 he collaborated with the group Interactor for the Italian label ‘Undaground’; together they recorded the single entitled ‘Jimi’s Groove’ for the compilation CD ‘The Ultimate Dance Delights’. Also with Interactor he participated in some live recordings, playing at rave parties and in discos (Fura). In 2001 Andrea participated in the Luigi Russolo international electronic music competition in Varese and the Pierre Sheffer Award at the Music Academy of Pescara. In 2005 the Italian chamber music group ‘Egon Quartet’ recorded 2 pieces composed by Gastaldello on their ‘Promenade’ CD. In 2005 he formed the AG Project with the singer Francesco Bogarelli. [CLICK THE "MINGLE" PROFILE" FOR OTHER PROJECT]____________________________________________________ __________Francesco Bogarelli was born in 1977. He was lead singer and guitarist for the Italian rock-blues group Balmar, with whom he played over 200 concerts and participated in various musical events around Italy. They opened for One-Dimensional Man, had five tours in the German cantons of Switzerland, the last of which opening for Bat and Mice and Amanda Rogers. They did a brief tour in Germany and later a benefit concert in Serbia, playing the closing concert for the ‘Zajecarda Guitarjada’ in Zajecar, which was shown on national Serbian television. Bogarelli recorded four records and a mini CD called ‘Stentoreo’ with the Balmar, 20,000 of which were sold together with an issue of ‘Blow-Up’ magazine. This was an unprecedented event for a little-known Italian group. They appeared on the Italian satellite TV station ‘Rock TV’ in the ‘Sala Prove’ and ‘Database’ programs. They took part in a mini tour organized by the same TV station called ‘Rock TV Tour’. Bogarelli has been part of the AG Project since 2005.
