I'm not one to deny anything new or exciting. I love a little bit of everything... travel, music, good people, inspiring conversation - I'm open to exploring every possibility.
More importantly there are quite a few people out there that I must reconnect with. If it has been a while - give me a shout.
I was raised on the Stones, The Who, The Doors, Hendrix, The Beatles... and still like a little now and again (my mom was at Woodstock, it's in my blood). But for now and let's face it - forever, my heavy rotation is hip hop. A few shows that I've been blessed with recently are... Talib, Mos Def, The Roots, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Boot Camp, Tribe Called Quest, The Rock the Bells Crew - these boys just keep me wanting more.Here's one of my top 10 favorite shows of all time, Talib in Toronto, August 30, 2007. I have many favorites, those that rank high on the list are Dazed & Confused, Goonies, Strickly Ballroom, Best in Show, Shawshank Redemption, and The Princess Bride. I seriously could watch them all 100 times and not get bored.
Weeds, The L Word, Def Poetry, Dexter, Law & Order, and Pants Off Dance Off (that show is seriously ridiculous).
Maya Angelou is undeniable.
My grandmother - she was one cool lady and someone I greatly respect and admire.
