This DJ has had music in the blood since birth on October 9th, 1981. With roots in rock and roll & playing the guitar, Andy has been influenced early in life by bands from Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith & Black Sabbath to Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots & Alice in Chains. Around the mid-1990’s the electronic/industrial sound of Aphex Twin, Nine Inch Nails, & Radio Depth-Probe ft. DJ JT (local underground dance radio mix) crept in and took over. By early 1996 the git-box was left behind in favor of a mixer & two turntables… DJ Spontaneous was born! Playing at illegal rave parties such as Lucid & Tricknology was just the beginning. Since then the trend has veered towards legit clubs in Minneapolis & Andrew has been on the front lines of the scene, spinning at venues such as Quest, Envy, The Lounge, Visage, Infiniti Room & Seven Ultralounge. After researching & developing his own mash-up style in 2007, DJ Spontaneous hosted several shows headlining turntablist DJ’s Spryte, Supra & Mei-Lwun. Andrew is committed to raising the bar of local talent & setting a new standard for quality club music. Having seen some serious DJ’s rip up dance floors across the nation has led to this mission statement. Dj Spontaneous has been with Nascent Numen since early 2007 and currently spins an eclectic, tasteful mix of all styles of danceable music including but not limited to: House, Electro, Hip-Hop, R & B, Rap, Reggae, T40, 80’s, Disco, Funk, Soul, Alternative, Rock, Oldies (yes, some oldies are goodies) & healthy doses of turntablism. data="http://lads.myspace.com/slides/photoslider.swf?u=11791
