About Me

"Here's what the Encyclopedia Galactica has to say about alcohol. It says that alcohol is a colourless volatile liquid formed by the fermentation of sugars and also notes its intoxicating effect on certain carbon-based life forms. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy also mentions alcohol. *It says that the best drink in existence is the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. It says that the effect of a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster is like having your brains smashed out by a slice of lemon wrapped round a large gold brick"
- Douglas Adams, The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy
I may be the worst MySpacer - EVER. I will most likely take FOREVER to get around to approving friend requests, replying to messages, etc...so please be patient and don't get upset with me. It's not personal.
"I have learned a few tricks along the way, a few random skills and simple avoidance techniques--but mainly it has been luck, I think, and a keen attention to karma, along with my natural girlish charm."
-Hunter S. Thompson, Kingdom of Fear
In addition - alakaboom, I'm a pizza.
If you see a great photo of me here, chances are it was taken by Joseph Allen .

My Interests

Music. Alcohol. Party Pharmeceuticals. Passionate contact. Films. Cooking. Animated comedies in general. "My" dogs (they were here when I got here, but I'd jump in front of a bus for them - and I'll crumble like pecan sandies if/when anything bad happens to them). SIRIUS Satellite Radio/Howard Stern. I seek/create good times in all forms - "just because something is serious doesn't mean it's not funny, and just because something is funny doesn't mean it shouldn't be taken seriously."

I'd like to meet:

Paul McCartney. I'm a tremendous Beatles loon, and - not to get all gloom-and-doom on you - but the guy can't live forever. So I need to figure something out before it's too late. Just one minute, sixty freakin seconds. If you see this and can somehow help facilitate this meeting, send me a message.
I'll take forever to get back to you on that too, I'm sure.

Music:

The Beatles. Jeff Buckley. Ben Folds (preferably with the Five, but without is ok too). Wilco. Tool. Frank Zappa. Todd Rundgren. Fiona Apple. Panic! At the Disco, though I've discovered that while they made an awesome record, they're not a very capable live band (ditto for My Chemical Romance). The Blakes. Ours second album. Readymade Breakup. Alexander Seier. Brian Steen. Rage Against the Machine. Jeff Beck. Healing Sixes. Radiohead. Jay-Z. Ludacris. Bruce Springsteen. Steely Dan. The soundtrack to the Josie and the Pussycats movie. Elvis Costello. "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys. Slipknot. King Crimson. "Hopelessly Devoted to You" and "A Little More Love" by Olivia Newton-John. Nickleback fucking blows, sorry. It's not a deal-breaker, but I had to let you know. Hinder, too - they're to Nickleback what Bush was to Nirvana, but somehow worse. "Nights On Broadway" by the Bee Gees. "Mary's Prayer" by Danny Wilson. I have a weakness for music that smells like warm, dusty cardboard - either you understand or you don't.

Movies:

Anything by Kevin Smith. Woody Allen is great, Annie Hall is a favorite. Michael Moore's stuff. Jaws, Godfather 1 & 2, Harold And Maude. Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas. Love Actually (yes, really). Road House is so off-the-charts-stupid that it's impossible to look away from. Garden State. The Original Kings of Comedy.

Television:

Between the radio and his OnDemand television show, Howard Stern occupies WAY too much of my time - it's almost embarrassing. Daily Show/Colbert Report. Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad. Real Time with Bill Maher. I watch a lot of movies on cable - you'd be surprised at the level of shit that you'll feel motivated to watch by shelling almost $200 to Comcast each month. Antiques Roadshow. What Not To Wear - again, yes, really.

Books:

Alice In Wonderland. The many Beatles-related books I've amassed over the years. The Real Frank Zappa Book. A Tree Grows In Brooklyn. The Shining, The Stand, The Talisman (all by Stephen King). The Bonfire Of The Vanities. Hunter S. Thompson. Al Franken.

Heroes:

Christopher Walken. Johnny Depp. I honestly want to be Jeff Beck. Hunter S Thompson. Wiggy. Doug Stanhope. Curt Turner taught me how to be a musician. Ed Collins taught me how to take all that knowledge and twist it into something (hopefully) unique and inspired - and also that sometimes to rock you had to stink. David Cross. John Mayer. Jason Mraz.
