Who'd have guessed that there were so many people in the North East who could use a computer...

About Me

nanopress is the bastard lovechild of a writing, designing, surfing, biking, serial entrepreneur.

To cut a short story long, we're an online publishing house that will shortly launch a selection of premium titles in the global careers, global extreme sports, and UK-focused entertainment markets.

We're blog-based, but don't let that put you off. Think of our titles as high-quality online magazines where YOU get to control - and add to - the content. In other words, they're magazines created by you, for you.

Another first is that we're making full use of MySpace to build our network of dedicated writers - and just as importantly, a big old bunch of readers.

So, let's see where this one takes us, eh...

What I do:
Blah blah blah. Give me a minute to write something here...

My Interests

Surfing, biking, writing, traveling, sun, fresh air, beaches, drinking, music, gigs, photography, design, sleeping outside, ducking, diving, this, that, and the other.

I'd like to meet:

First off, we're looking for a bunch of hyper, psyched-up writers to cover the following subjects:

One_
Work and career issues in virtually any industry or sector. You'll cover anything from how to break into a particular industry, to how to continue carving out a successful career once you're there. Plus anything else you can think of that people in your particular industry will find useful. Alternatively, we're looking for writers to cover jobhunting and work issues in major (and not-so-major) cities around the world, and for writers to cover the ins and outs of trying to get work in (or actually working in) a wide range of named companies. Could be interesting...

Two_
For this next project, we're looking for writers who can cover extreme sports - and more specifically extreme sports gear. Your challenge would be to stay in touch with the extreme industry, review new kit as it comes to market, and generally provide top-level coverage of major news on anything from surfing to snowboarding to skating to inline to BASE jumping. Fancy it?

Three_
This is a cool one. We need around 10-15 writers for each city in the UK to contribute to a living, breathing log of what's happening right now (or what's coming up) in your city. You might write a gig review, interview a local band, give a review of local news, cover a store opening, a resident club night, a gallery, an exhibition, whatever. As long as it's about your city and it appeals strongly to a 16-35 demographic, we'll probably publish it.

Hmmm, who else? Go on... surprise us. ;o)
