Working for the Weekend........

About Me

About Me........Well, lots of interesting stuff to some and boring to others! Until recently I was the Manager of Leadership Development in the for-profit education environment and spent much time thinking and building for the future of a better workplace. Now, I'm a consulting working on site for Accenture (www.accenture.com). Also, I'm an Adjunct Faculty member at two schools, Waubonsee Community College and Colorado Technical University Online. I'm very happily married and have a myriad of animal companions including two lovely shih-tzus and a peke. I have an awesome family both directly related as well as on my husband's side.I'm on my journey to earning a Doctorate. I've been accepted at Argosy University and will be earning an Ed.D in Organizational Leadership. I'm in my first class on Qualitative Research. Going back to school is a big deal for me. This is a personal goal and a big brain stretch. So, for personality.... intellectual but fun. Raunchy humor is excellent!I love to laugh and make jokes, also do practical jokes and secretly want to do stand up comedy. I need to make the time. I welcome good people in my life, those with strong values on relationships and family.I love concerts and having the opportunity to go off the wall at times. Bear with me...... I have a quote from the Duran Duran show on October 26, 2006 from Simon LeBon. Pardon the profanity but...... ..I love music. I played the piano and flute as a kid. I picked up the harmonica for a while and I have a secret desire to jam like Steve Vai on a guitar and bang on the drums like an 80's big hair band. I also would love to learn the "keytar" and scare my friends. I grew up in the 80's and lived the punk/new wave era. Yes, I wore crazy clothes and had purple hair. Hence, my choice in comedy and music. But at heart I love my classical rock stuff. A good Boston CD, Ted Nugent, Journey, Deep Purple or Foghat session in my car makes me happy. I believe that music can never be played too loud as long as one has the appropriate sound system (hint: do not turn up your factory radio all the way, go custom). I believe that all vehicles should be standardized with 800 watt amps and sub-woofers at a minimum. Ground thumpin' fun!I also have a lot of respect for rap artists who are lyrical poets. Eminem is one of my favorites. Snoop is extremely pimp as well. And, I love good dance music. Not this tin can crap on the radios but something with a beat and bass. Freestyle used to do it well. Bring back Old School!
