About Me

Crunchy outside, chewy inside. Scorpio. Graphic designer, antique dealer & artist. Lost 25+ pounds this summer by doing nothing more than walking 5+ miles almost daily. My hands are always dry. Very self-effacing. LOVE good beer (Maudite & Duvel are faves). Ethnic background: Mostly French-Canadian and Swiss (German). Totally atheist (raised in a Catholic, yet somewhat hippie household). Survivor of Michigan (moved to Chicago in 1995 for school). Sensitive yet painfully honest (rarely mince words). Hardcore thrifter. Liberal to the core. Cynic in the best-possible sense. Learning to like chocolate (dark ONLY). Lactose-intollerant (except for cheese, thank goodness). Fan of upscale casual dining ($20 and under). Great bowler (was a league scoring leader in jr. high). #1 breakfast: granola with a little honey and soymilk. Prefer walking or biking to CTA. don't own a car. Have two awesome cats named "Stanley (after Kubrick)" and "Brando (after Marlon)." Prefer quality to quantity (pick your subject here). Haven't been to a barber in 5+ years. Have terribly annoying chronic sinus problems. Nutty about good design. Not down with God or "his" followers. Not down with Bush or his defenders. Cigarette smoke makes me literally ill...can't wait for the Smoking Ban 01/01/08, so I may again become an alcoholic. Love a good read (and a good sneeze). Am very into fashion (loved Marc Jacobs new Spring show). Prefer my hair short and my phone conversations shorter. TERRIBLE at texting. Mac user. Hate the smell of weed. LOVE the smell of garlic on my fingers after cooking. Fan of 1950s-70s cinema. Deplore the idea of a "gay community." Would rather be in NYC than almost anywhere. Wicked at karaoke (I do a "Doll Parts" that would sear your ears AND eyes). Follow politics obsessively. Independant, but tend to vote Dem. Hate music on the radio. Love TV on The Radio. Avid camper, although I haven't been in 2 years! Very close to my family. Have great balance, but zero hand-eye coordination. Was a gymnast until 4th grade (broke my wrist to bits). Almost died from Reye's Syndrome when I was 5 years old. Once had 3 root canals in one day (I fell asleep actually). Am a bit of a germ-o-phobe (trying to work on that). Went to high school with Rachel Nagy of the detroit cobras. Sleep alone on a queen-size bed (and not complaining). Independant, opinionated, stubborn. I question everything...you're forewarned.
