minimoo was born out of desperation. having spent summer 2006 all over europe, especially in ibiza and berlin, we came to new york in fall realising that new york's nightlife landscape was - a few cactuses aside - as dry as a desert for those who appreciate dark and dirty electronic music. surely, the desert won't turn into a rainforest over night, but at least we're trying...
while we are determined to bring internationally acclaimed artists to new york to support the small but steadily growing minimal techno scene over here, we also want to be daring and present talents that have earned their respect elsewhere but are less known in the US. it's the music we believe in, not the name.
since summer 2007, we've been venturing out to other cities every now and then to spread some minimoo spirit there, too! places we've been to are berlin, ibiza, miami and L.A.. many more to come!
