About Me

Visit dudu the son’s website (under construction)

I’m a self-taught singer-songwriter born in Barcelona (1980). I began to play cello at 7 but some boring teacher made me give it up soon. At 15, after seeing Nirvana’s MTV unplugged, I took my mother’s broken 70’s Spanish guitar and decided to learn guitar by my own.
I really don’t know why, but around 2004 inspiration came to me and I began to write my own songs. Some friends pushed me to keep on writing songs, so thanks them, until now I’ve written more than 20. Just like The Beatles song:"...With a little help from my friends".
For the moment, I record my songs at my home studio, mhh...well let’s call a Mac and an Mbox2 as home studio. I’ve took some of my songs and I’ve mixed/mastered at a professional music studio in my town. Now I have a 5 tracks demo...it has been pretty hard to choose just 5 of my songs.
I use to write different style songs, but I never use this trendy word “fusion” just to say that I take ideas from completely different kinds of music, such as pop-rock, folk, alternative, hip hop, classic or early music.
People use to say they like a huge range of music, but I really do. I can’t be trapped in just one style.
I usually keep an acoustic main line, but I can surprise with grunge, Spanish folk, hip hop or any other sound or rhythm. I’d like to let you listen to all my music but right now I can’t pay a full album recording. Don’t cry for me, someday I’ll do it (for sure!).
Hope you enjoy it!
Dudu.
