The wise man will love, all others will desire-Afrainus

About Me

I am Rachel C. Stennett, III. I feel like I am a paradox of sorts. I love to learn although I am getting tired of sitting in a classroom. I am incredibly passionate about the future but am scared of life after college. I love music but never practice the guitar. I love art but never go to a gallery. I love traveling the world but dislike driving 3 hours home to Colorado Springs. I get bothered by hypocrites but too often fail to practice my own preaching. I am a strong Chrisitan but sometimes I feel like it's easier to talk to people that are 3,000 miles away than talk to my neighbor about God. I love animals but I let my turtle go free when he became sick and mean. I firmly support women's equality, but my mother's traditional values of the home, cooking, and cleaning still are embedded within. I want to travel and be a free lance writer but I love my family and home and this sometimes makes me afraid to wander far from. This is just who I am right now, but I am a constant work in progress.

My Interests

Reading, writing, skiing, painting, music, astrology, the northern lights, God, debating, photography, animals, art, Africa, the world, scrapbooking, playing the guitar, turtles, people, football, and lamas-not in any specific order.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet anyone that has interest in meeting me I suppose. And also, Adam of Adams and Eve. I think he exerted the first real creativity by naming all of the animals in the world. I would never of thought of naming a Lemur a Lemur.

Music:

I love music, but I lack patience, so I like Alternative, Classic Alternative, Indie Rock, Emo, Soul, and lots more, not a huge fan of hip hop though.

Movies:

I LOVE: M. Night Shamalan, and The Life of David Gale (could be my favorite all timer) and a whole lot more.

Television:

E.R., Grey's Anatomy, Miami Ink, and Lost. My t.v. doesn't work though so I'm not up with the jive anymore...tear....

Books:

I LOVE BOOKS! I have many favorites, I like The Stranger (Albert Camus), James Patterson, Ted Dekker, Frank Peretti, Dan Brown (More Angel's and Demons, but the Code was well written), Frankenstein, Nicholas Sparks (I shamefully am addicted to romance), Harriet Jacobs, Sherman Alexie, Chinua Achebe, Laura Wisberger, Dean Koontz (seldomly am I displeased with any of his work) Jean Paul Sarte, Louise Erdrich, Jennifer Weiner, Donald Miller, Lauren Wisberger, Stephen King, The Catcher and the Rye, The Great Gatby, Gidget, and many more to come.

Heroes:

I think each person in my family is my hero for different reasons. And, anyone that follows their dreams.
