About Me

RANDOMNESS:
I have an awesome husband and two great kids: a daughter in college
and a son in grad school. We all like metal and often
share cds and attend concerts together...
I am completely obsessed with Mudvayne...
My favorite thing in the world is to go to a concert and the rail is the
ONLY place to be at a concert. Balconies and seats are for pussies...
I love taking photos and videos at concerts and put them on my website:
hvymtlmom.com ...
I'm a very optimistic person (overly so, according to some people) and I
try hard to see the other side before getting pissed at someone over
something stupid...
Song lyrics are my bible. Some people find strength and guidance in religion, I
find mine in music...
I want no part of moneygrubbing organized religion and it's spread of
lies, hatred, intolerance and child molestation~all in the name of God.
And while I'm on the subject - Fuck the hypocritical politicians who use religion
to con voters If you really
had faith, you wouldn't need to flaunt it....
I'm usually pretty quiet, until I get to know you...
I love my job~I work with some awesome special needs kindergarten
kids during the school year AND I get summers off!...
I've been a vegan for 9 years and a vegetarian for 4 years before
that....and I WOULDN'T eat meat again for a million dollars, I DO get enough
protein and my shoes are NOT leather! I'm not going to debate anyone just
for the sake of arguing, but if you're truly interested I'd be more than happy
to explain my position...
I believe in karma and in love at first sight, not that they have anything
to do with each other (or do they???)...
I don't smoke, I haven't done drugs for years and rarely drink, but I love
the smell of weed and I'm totally addicted to caffeine...
Most of my non-work wardrobe consists of
band shirts...
I say "fuck" a lot and if you don't fucking like it, it's too fucking
bad....just stay the fuck away from me then. People who get all bent out of
shape over a word need to take a look around and realize there
are far more important things to concern themselves with....
By most people's standards, I probably spend way too much time
on my computer. I love spending time with my friends online *hugs* and especially those on The
Mudvayne Pit, some of which I've had the pleasure of meeting and attending
concerts with...
If you're a MySpace skank don't bother requesting me as a "friend", you'll only be denied.
I'm not interested in your tits, ass or
anything else you feel the need to show off...
As anyone who is close to me can tell you, my memory really sucks
sometimes! So don't be offended if you tell me something and I don't
remember it a couple days later, that's just me being "normal"....
Words to live by (I do) from a Metal Edge interview with Chad Gray:
"Happy?...it's a question, not a statement. It's a question that everybody
needs to ask themselves all the time, and if you're not
happy, what does it take to be happy?"~in other words: quit whining and DO
something about it!...

My Interests

..

Music is second only to my family...

I have a "thing" for tattoos~I have nine and
want lots more....

I collect music memorabilia, my home decor
revolves around it....

I love all animals, I don't even kill bugs...

I have 2 cats and my favorite animal is a rat...

Animal rights, nutrition and the environment
are high on my priority list...

I enjoy creating things and working in my
garden. My Headbanger's Garden (even though
it's still a work in progress) is my pride and joy:

.. ..

I'd like to meet:

The words written and sung by Chad Gray have made a huge impact on
my life. Technically I have sort of "met" him & Greg in a meet & greet while
they were with HellYeah. That doesn't really count because it was extremely
rushed. I would need far more than 2 seconds to attempt to express my
gratitude! So even though I may very well be speechless if it happened, I
would love to actually meet him (and the rest of Mudvayne) someday...

DEATH BLOOMS:

MERCY SEVERITY:

FORGET TO REMEMBER:
..

ADD A MARKER or GET YOUR OWN MAP

Robb Flynn of Machine Head is another lyrical and performance genius.
He is truly thought provoking, inspiring and absolutely incredible live. I was
fortunate to have met him & Dave recently but would love to meet them
again (Phil & Adam too!)...

Music:

Checking out my profile, the music player
above and my "friends" on here, you'll get a good
idea of my favorites...

I love mostly metal and hardcore, but I also
listen to softer music sometimes too like Cold,
Staind and Ghost Machine...

Vocals are my favorite "instrument", that and
lyrics are usually what draws me to a particular
song. Chad Gray, Robb Flynn, Ivan Moody,
Scooter Ward, Aaron Lewis-all vocal gods in my
opinion...

I listen to a lot of genres, but
there are some bands I can't fucking
stand~System of a Down, Chili Peppers, White
Stripes or anything with horns in it. You can't spell
crap without rap and jazz makes my skin
crawl...

With very few exceptions, I hate listening to
female singers, regardless of whether they are
talented or not...

I love collecting and sharing live bootleg
audio and video of my favorite bands...

Anders' shirt pretty much says it all:

Movies:

Like most parts of my life, music takes
precedence here too...

Television:

I don't watch a whole lot of TV, but I like The
Shield, Family Guy, American Dad, Headbanger's
Ball, Miami Ink, Adult Swim, Real Time with Bill
Maher, HGTV, History Channel and I get my
"news" from 2 of the best shows on television: The
Daily Show and Cobert Report...

I fucking hate the American Idol mentality
and pretentious/arrogant/extravagant celebrity
bullshit...

Books:

I read everything I can get my hands on
about my favorite bands. To fully appreciate the
music, I want to know everything possible about
the artist(s) who created it. A favorite book: Sound
of The Beast by Ian Christe. Favorite magazines:
Revolver, Metal Edge, BW & BK, Metal Hammer,
Outburn, etc....

I read about other subjects too, mostly
non-fiction. Some favorites are: Diet For A New
America, Fast Food Nation, Reefer Madness,
When Elephants Weep, Animals In Translation & I
Hope They Serve Beer In Hell (Tucker Max is
fucking hilarious!)....

Other favorites are books by Chuck Palanhiuk
and Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo...

Heroes:

I consider these guys (and girl) to be heroes
because of their stance on vegetarianism and/or
animal rights in general...
