The whole world snoring keeps me up at night.

About Me

PROGRESS IS LIFE; STAGNATION IS DEATH. My mic name comes from my belief that logic can save anyone, and the people I truly respect are the ones that display it in their actions and words, from a star to a homeless man. The play on Magic's name means you never know which way I might throw a verse. When I rhyme, I want whoever listening to go 'where did he come up with that?' on every bar. I want them pressing rewind on every punchline. If you take the time to sit and write, there's no excuse for weak shit, which sadly is all over the place these days. I'm jaded with most of the hip-hop out today, it's like a million rappers with one style. And me, I look at music like I look at everything else in life: if you're gonna complain that others aren't doing it right, do it better. If you think everybody acts wrong, just do the opposite. I use half the cats in hip-hop today as an example of what NOT to do.I see so much negativity infecting life on Earth that I'll NEVER run out of lyrics, BELEIVE THAT. When I think, speak and talk, I try to set the type of example I complain about the world lacking. See we're all human, but most of us need to be MORE human. Feel me?I've been spitting for about 10 years, and done nothing but evolve lyrically (and spiritually, which is the source of all true music), and at the same time, outgrow the shit I bumped as a teen. My lyrics range from gloomy to humorous to philosophical. One minute I'm bigging up my own skills (there ego again!!), the next I'm discussing life pleading with you to think outside the same old box. See I COULD FOCUS ON MOVING BODIES, BUT I'D RATHER MOVE MINDS. I like to do my little singing thing here and there, from years of singing along to the likes of D'Angelo, Stevie and Al Green. Like my friend says, I can sing, I just can't SAAANG. Five years ago, I picked up a bass guitar and haven't put it down since. I've hit countless open jams and parties both on the mic and the bass, though yet to headline. I've had some collabos with local producers that never led anywhere. Eventually set my mind on producing myself from start to finish, still sharpening my ear for composing. Came across one baaaaad beatmaker in D.O.S. (www.myspace.com/dosmtl) and joined forces over the summer. Currently working on mixtape-style tracks; singles and album should be on the way in the not too distant future.CRAB RAPPERS BEWARE!!!
