I'm currently a member of the Impatient Theatre Company in Toronto. A Second City Theatre graduate, I'm an Improviser and a Comedian.
I perform in variety shows each and every month throughout the city, as well as from my home base at the Bad Dog Theatre several times a month. I'm hitting the Canadian highways for the first time after the Spring of '06 for a few weeks to spread the gospel of hilarity! Roooooooaaaad triiiiip!!!
I'm a student of sketch comedy writing, and learned very early that you don't have to go too far on your quest for material - it's always right in front of you...or in your past! Hide nothing and have no regrets, otherwise you're wasting your time in front of a room full of strangers.
I'm a lyricist and a storyteller. I love to write parodies of other songs, many with a political edge. I have a score of original works that I've spent many years composing. I perform them on the ol' six string & harmonica and love to mix it up with physical comedy and with a wide range of characters.
Being a Cancer, a die-hard romantic by nature, I tend to write and perform just about anything. This includes folk influenced ballads. But very seldom does a week go by that I don't feel the need to grab the ol' wooden axe and rawk out with my cawk out!
I am an actor and a huge fan of the Indi-film scene that Toronto has to offer. I have acted in many independent projects and do a few commercials from time to time. I LOVE FILM, and I live for the entire process of filmmaking. From the Casting Call to the Foley to the Editing Room floor!
I LOVE networking with anyone that has a script idea, advice on acting (or a query regarding same), a story to tell, or a yearning to make a room full of strangers laugh their ass off in sketch, scene or song! If you share the same appreciation that I do for the arts, film, comedy, modeling, voiceworx, photography and the like - I'd love to hear from you!

I love my classic rock! But this is one retired nightclub manager that misses his exposure to Industrial beats (Fetish Night was so awesome) and Electronica!
I released a compilation album last year with my friend Art...but as you can see he prefers to be called by his last name:

Anything 80's horror is friggin' way-cool awesome!
John Malkovich is tres cool, as is Kevin Spacey. But no one makes me wet my diapers like Mr. Carrey. What a guy!
Hugh Grant can kiss my ass!
My favourite movies are, of course, ones that I have the pleasure of being a part of...well, most of the time!
Here's a promo shot from a movie that premieres this July. My good friend Quentin wrote the story and also directed. He asked me to play the lead role and I was so honoured. It is the first time that I had the opportunity to be a part of a film with such a huge budget!
...and then there's this next one, co-starring Heather Graham, that also premieres next year. Big budgets, and big stars! Not bad, huh?
A lover of animals, I also write, produce, direct and star in my own series of instructional videos. The series that is currently available on DVD this month is my "Training your bad Llama to be a good Llama...at home" videos.

Sad to say that I have all 10 seasons of .F.R.I.E.N.D.S. on DVD. I never, ever, ever get tired of Just For Laughs Gags or Whose Line. And Night Court and Three's Company has been sorely missed all these years!

DOWNTOWN TORONTO
by Michael Giel
If you're goin' to Downtown Toronto
be sure to visit the giant tower there
You'll see strange things in Downtown Toronto
from 1,815.5 feet up in the air
At Jarvis and Queen in Downtown Toronto
there are prostitutes and drag queens for your hire
But in the morning in Downtown Toronto
you'll be eighty bucks poorer with a massive crotch-fire
And then there's Dundas Square in Downtown Toronto
where people sing and dance and juggle flaming batons
And if you can wade beyond the billboard hell there
sove west and count the homeless sleeping at the ROM
Everywhere you turn in Downtown Toronto
some foreign people try to sell you a hot dog
Royal York and Lakeshore in Downton....Etobicoke
has a view that blocks the Dome because of all the smog
Such a beautiful place though
Downtown Toronto, ah-ahhh
Spreaker's Corner's a great place
You pay a buck and you fornicate
The ACC is the new home
of the marvellous Ty Domi-ahh
I sure miss the Gardens
And Mayor Mel's stupid statements, yeah
What I love the most about Downtown Toronto
is that people say 'excuse me' when I'm in their way
And unless the government decides to toll more goddamned highways
Downtown Toronto, I think I'm here to stay
