The Purple Shots

Not Just Your Average Multicultural Band!

About Me

“I thought it was Shit...Shit Hot!” was the reaction of one crazed fan. The original funk rock sound of The Purple Shots, influenced by the likes of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Jimi Hendrix, has developed over four years of writing, playing and gigging. Within numerous live performances, their ability to interact uniquely with each other and the audience simultaneously, creates not just a gig, but a show. Their understanding of each other's musical abilities has culminated in the release of their first single.
The Purple Shots began by adding their own individuality to a wide variety of covers, both old and modern. This served to develop an unquestionable musical talent before going on to compile their influences to create unique self-written material. Their first single, 'Woman Please / I See Red,' incorporates many aspects of the band, which has captivated audiences across London. With a blend of soft and heavy sounds there is something for everyone's tastes. After the live debut of these songs, they received a high intensity of audience excitement, moving the band from stage to recording studio. Fans are increasingly accumulating across Myspace and Facebook, supporting the band's highly anticipated first single.
