About Me

DON'T ADD ME! NOOOOOOOO NEVER EVER ADD ME. REALLY....How do, I'm Victor and I'm from the beautiful northern dustbin of Darlington. It's a pleasant market town by day and a fighty meathead society by night. Don't go there, unless of course you like a good pagga. I have issues with capitalism, I have issues with apathy - why doesn't anybody in this country get angry about things that very clearly are wrong? I have issues it seems with most things. Mainly I have issues with oppression and racism. If I had the balls and the motivation I'd start a revolution but I haven't and don't. I don't like having my personal space invaded, I don't like touchy tactile people, I don't like people who invent stories to impress, I don't like people who chatter incessantly about subjects I have no interest in, I don't like people who bother me whilst I'm eating, I don't like people who bother me whilst I'm reading, I dont like people. I don't like football so I must be gay. I'm told I have a good understanding of feminism which has led to my being called gay. My wife regularly ruminates quietly to herself about the likelihood that I am gay. This is turning into a stream of consciousness rather than anything coherent but I'm enjoying the writing, so I must certainly be gay. Oh and I play in the band From Almost The End, information about which can be found at www.myspace.com/fromalmosttheend .
or the rather imaginitive...

And finally, the best fucking video on the internet. Hands down....

My Interests

Music, politics, books, old computer systems and games consoles. If it can display more than sixteen colours you can keep it.

I'd like to meet:

Nice people with something to say. Nice people with opinions and nuggets of wisdom to impart. It's nice to be nice.

Music:

Meshuggah, Deus, PJ Harvey, Nick Drake, Deftones, Bob Dylan, Lamb of God, Neil Young, Sammy, Pavement, 36 Crazyfists, Elliot Smith, SOAD, Beck, Miles Davis, Marmaduke Duke, Incubus, Santana, Green Day, Seafood, Puressence, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Refused, Mudhoney, Pixies, Auteurs, Nina Simone, Alice in Chains, Grandaddy, Jam, Killswitch Engage, Morrissey, Smiths, Clash, Get Up Kids, Mars Volta, At the Drive In, Zen Guerilla, Zeke, Biffy Clyro, Leonard Cohen, Pete Yorn, Jeff Buckley, Bloc Party, Ben Folds Five/Ben Folds, Sugababes, Steps, The pussycunt Dolls..... Movies:

Full Metal Jacket, the Halloween series bar 3 which was arse, Last house on the left, There's something in the closet, Don't go in the Attic..... just anything daft with zombies or giant monsters in it.

Television:

Philips Widescreen PF4500D32. A crisp picture most of the time, except when the weather is poor, which causes my freeview reception to suffer slightly. UPDATE - the circuit which tells the tv what to do when you change the channels has gone haywire and thus general operation can be sporadic. Hey it was free, I'm not moaning or anything. UPDATE 2 - Just before christmas the old Philips developed a serious problem whereby it refused to change channel, then it refused to turn on, so we now have a brand new HITACHI of the same style and dimensions. How exciting is that?

Books:

To Kill A Mockingbird, The Beach, anything by Michael Moore, and the finest piece of literature ever written - including the bible - Crime and Punishment.

Heroes:

Father. And Fred Dibnah. Seriously I fucking love Fred Dibnah.
