I don't even know how to explain what music I like, because there's so much out there.... Hip-hop is #1 in my heart, but you can't truly love hip-hop if you don't appreciate anything else. I listen to a lot, and still not enough. Easily spend 3 hours .. searching and listening to music. People are so stuck on the music they're force fed that they've forgotten where the shit even came from.....sux to be them!
I gave up scary movies, my soul can't handle that shit anymore! I still think I'm going to see Samara (or whatever girl's name was in the Ring) at the end of the hallway when I turn on the light in the middle of the night to use the bathroom...yea seriously.
I think the last movie I saw in a theatre was Crash (last summer), and before that Gothica. So yea, I think I'm averaging about 2 movies a year, I haven't seen one yet in 2006 (in theaters I mean). I'd rather sit at home and rent movies I never had a chance to see, or watch good indie movies that don't get the credit they deserve.
Wes Anderson is funny, Kubric was dope, and Spike Lee (although I still haven't seen all of the work) is always on point.
I was a news and Law & Order addict for a while. Now I usualy watch BETJ if and when the TV is on, otherwise...it's usualy not even on.
I read some of any and everything. I stopped reading the black pop lit a while back, couldn't too much relate. I realy realy liked "The Portable Promised Land" by Toure.
I used to hate it back in the day when we had to write a paper on our biggest hero.....cause I never had that one person that popped into my head. Thas kinda how I feel about this right now..... I don't have heroes, just some people that do nice things for me at the right time in life.
