About Me

The Jeremiah Rifles are a band from Brooklyn. Brought together by their shared love of archaic sounds, they are committed to blazing a new trail of psychedelic exploration based on such past influences but decidedly relevant to the strange epoch we inhabit. Hurricane-force gales of fuzz guitar and prehistoric percussion are tempered by gentler instincts. Silverface reverberations from ages past. Lonely trainwhistle slide guitar. Flashes of heartsick country, rural blues and forgotten folk. This affinity for a more wideeyed time and place is combined with a darker sensibility weaned on punk rock. Visions of volcanoes and ruin, rising tides and the ghosts of sunken steamships. Setting the controls for the center of the sun, heading for the music of the spheres...
