Pornography (oops shouldn't put that one first). Music, film. Fine Wine. Gourmet Cooking! Yes ladies he's a magnificent chef! Activism, politics, socialism and the labour movement (LOCAL 1000A representin' y'all!)
Oscar Wilde, John Lennon and Karl Marx. Unfortunately they're all dead. If not, we could surely form a successful boy band.I'm up for meeting anyone who finds me interesting. And I'd love to reconnect with old friends who have wandered astray. Now isn't that sweet?
oooh where shopuld we begin? In no order I'll list 1000 bands and you'll say "I like some of those!"the beatles, the smiths, joy division, devo, belle & sebastian, death cab for cutie, bright eyes, pere ubu...the whole indie rock alternative thing, you get the idea. Also strangely obsessed with Judy Garland and her role as a homosexual icon, The Pet Shop Boys, Outsider music such as Daniel Johnston and other things that fall between the cracks.I can honestly appreciate every kind of music from country to opera. I've had brief obsessions with Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and obscure Italian tenors from 1908. I guess I just love music.
Again a wide variety. Lately I've been obsessed with classic films. My favorite directors are Fellini, Bergman, Bunuel, Woody Allen, Stanley Kubrick, Alfred Hitchcock. I studied film in university. I love "the cinema" and can sometimes be a bit of a snob. For Adam Sandler fans who are confused it means I adored "Punch Drunk Love" but despised "Happy Gilmour".
Try not to watch too much and don't have cable. Currently in love with "The Office" the US version. Haven't seen the UK version yet and don't want to, lest it interfere with my enjoyment of the US version!I also watch Law & Order SVU, Family Guy and enjoy old Simpsons and Seinfeld. Curb Your Enthusiasm is also brilliant. Anyone ever see that Slings & Arrows show? It was also quite good.
Lately I've read alot of Jonathan Ames and Augusten Burroughs but I prefer Ames.Trying to read the modern library's top 100 books of the century. It appears to be a lifelong project. Speaking of which, have you read Sophie's Choice by William Styron? It's bloody magnificent! It has joy, sorrow, laughter, sexy parts, it's just outstanding.
We could be heroes.....just for one day. But some of us are content working in retail and having a really nice glass of red wine at the end of the day.
