This page is not all about Jazz. I think a true Jazz artist naturally endorses free form . This page is all about free-form art, independently of genre and technical skill. It is about the heart and the soul.

Sound Check Archives @ wnyc Dreams:
I dream of a world without borders, where we come to celebrate, respect and learn from each other’s unique gifts.
Philosophy:
If you hit a wrong note, then make [it] right by what you play afterwards. "Joe Pass"

Special Interests:
Taking Charge of Natural Resources
On the personal side:
Night Diving, mountain climbing, solitude, early morning spontaneous dancing, chikung, native American artifacts, bells and chimes, rocks and leaves, water, sounds and colors. In the 70’s & 80’s I played electric guitar in groups through Africa, Europe and US. Occasionally I also make sounds with keyboards and lately I am pursuing Alto Sax studies, my first reed experience and a spiritual one too! My friends say I sound like me; that could be a good thing or a really bad one.

Michael Brecker, we miss you dearly!
Out of all my heroes for the past two decades, Glenn Gould has always been on the top three and i became extremely happy when i found his videos online. Here is one:
".... Busque amor novas artes, novo engenho (Camões)...."

Each visit to MySpace/mazungue is a gift that i cherish and thank each of you every single time. Those returning over and over again are special friends indeed, and i have no words to thank them for such honor! … tony …
