Nazkar Dretti I was born Brokeem Barrino in Washington D.C. on January 19, 1980. I moved to Paterson New Jersey at 2 months. I am the oldest of 2 brothers. The rap scene interested me during his last year in grammar school. There was a group of rappers that lived near my house named the Basement Kingz who I thought was really great. Their style and rhythm really intrigued me so from there I really began taking serious notice of a potential dream that I would like to pursue. A friend and I began practicing and we wrote our own material within two months. Local talent shows were inviting me to perform and my exposure allowed me to become better at my craft. One day while working at a local pharmacy, our mailman asked me to come from behind the counter and step outside for a moment. He said that I looked like a rapper and he asked me to rap something for him if I could. After his satisfaction, he gave me his phone number and asked me to call him for an appointment to record in his home studio. I was in the studio the next day sampling some of many rhythms he had available for me to choose from to suit the flow of my style. I found that alot of rhythms fit my style and wrote about a dozen raps in less than six months. Being in the studio and working for the pharmacy part-time as well as for the city full-time took a lot of discipline and sacrifice to accomplish what I have accumulated as of today. I lost a couple of friends along the way and stopped my goal for two years, however, I came back stronger than ever I am now working on new projects and I would like to continue my career to become one of the best rappers in the near future
