About Me

Hello! I am the banjo player for the Douthwrights and live in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. The Douthwrights are made up of Shane Douthwright (g/v), Dennis Douthwright (m/v), Nadine Douthwright (b) and Andrew Conde (no, I'm not a Douthwright!) (b/v).

When I am not engaged in fighting off polar bears or making repairs to my igloo I can usually be found with a banjo in my hand. My favourite players are Bela, Tony T., Tony F, Alan M, Alison B, Sammy S. Steve D and Jim M. I play a Stewart MacDonald banjo and all the metal has been sand blasted black. I call her "Black Betty". My back up is a Mansfield.

I have a son (Emmett, 2) and a daughter (Fiona, 6) and married to Jackie.
