Pett-Yex born Pedro R. Velez-Romero in Carolina, Puerto Rico is the artist at the fore-front of Thá Nú Statement Crew. Pett was raised by a single mother who "...never put a hand on me; she always had something good to say even if you didn’t do the right thing."His musical influences are the Sugar Hill Gang, Eric B & Rakim, Public Enemy, James Brown, The Monkeys, Asia, Metallica, Karl Off Carmina Burana, Lord Of The Underground, Sting, King Sun. Present day, DON OMAR, Mark Anthony, Usher, and many others." I love a lot of different music, Hip Hop, D&B, R&B, Salsa, Reggaeton, Bosanova, Samba, and of course Fuzion of Rythms."When Pett is asked about what he would like to accomplish with his debut album Thá Nú Statemnt Crew Presents :his response is "Really, I want to have fun, be with my friends enjoy what we know to do, Music. I'd like to make the people dance, and some times cry, be more comfortable with my children and my family.” After losing a number of relatives to cancer he would also like to work with a cancer foundation through his music.
