About Me
Noiz was born Leonard C. Lavender II on September 9, 1986. He first took an interest in music at the early age of 9. Born with a talent he didn't discover till his later teenage years. Noiz had a creative mind, but had no way of expressing himself. He couldn't sing, act, dance or draw...so there was no way he could show the public what he was feeling. In the year 2000, Noiz began to take music classes in his high school band; This contiuned througout his high school years. In band, he discovered his ablity to pick up the theory of music very swiftly and found out a whole new perspective of his ablilites. In 2001, he began "beat boxing" in the ciphers of the rap students earning him the reputation of being "the beat man". In 2002 he had made quite a name for himself and even paired himself up with people who produced music and recorded songs. By this time, Noiz had already started rapping mildly but taking the actual creation of the music more seriously. From 2003 till the time he graduated in '04 Noiz became well known in high school for his beat boxing, rapping, and beat making. Towards the end of 2004, Noiz founded in a recording group called Champ City Entertainment; which he started himself along with childhood friends and rappers from high school. The Champ City label began to slowly fall as some of the childhood friends began to lose passion and friends from high school went their separate ways over time. Noiz felt cheated, used and unappreciated. Noiz later noticed that he too, began to lose his passion for his music. It even reflected in the music he wrote and the beats he made. From spring '05 'til fall, Noiz began dedicating all of his time into perfecting his craft lyrically and musically so that he won't make the same mistakes. In November 2005, Noiz joined local independent label Beautiful Musik Recordings. Taken under the wing of Arenbe, (the labels C.E.O and artist) he began to do the best music of his career. Noiz did 90% of the production for the labels artists including himself and Arenbe. With Noiz's talent and and Arenbe's direction and hook writing skills, the two formed a rap group called Beautiful Noiz. After the success they had with all of the other projects they thought they would try something with a new sound. The success of Beautiful Musik became big all the way till fall 2006. Tours, shows, radio play etc. The success didn't end there, Arenbe eventually picked up two addtional artists and a female producer to make his super label complete. A conflict in business decisions led to the eventual fall-out between Arenbe and Noiz. Both Arenbe and Noiz had different views on how business should be conducted but respected each others decisions and went their separate ways. The newest editions to the label decided to venture in Noiz's direction while the others sided with Arenbe. After all he had learned from being under an successful indepent label, Noiz had decided to start his own label. Champ City Entertainment, Inc. was re-born with a whole new business perspective and fresh new ideas. The label started working on projects instantly. From fall 2006 till now the label has been in the process of building a platform and game plan together. Noiz currently released an album entitled "The Champ". With the label now in effect, Noiz is selling beats and working with other aritsts outside of his label to build a name for himself. What will the future hold?
