SOMEONE WHO INSPIRES ME... like Lance Armstrong... or anyone actively involved in cancer research TO PUT A STOP TO IT....................................................or how about Billy Graham... now THAT would be a trip!!I've already met so many friends... I always enjoy friends who make me laugh... and friends who I learn a lot from! friends are always in our lives for a purpose whether it's just a season or longer... and I've been fortunate enough to have many life-long friends as well as close friends from the past several years. **I would like to have a true friend who inspires me, challenges me and entertains me to levels I never thought possible!**
I usually prefer alternative rock and have never got over my love for the band U2 (U2 ROCKS FOREVER!!!)... and I still love 80's/90's dance and techno music (probably why I love skating to 'old school' music?) I love skating to Stevie B, Daniel Bedingfield, etc., etc!! I remember back in the 80's that mostly all that I listed to was "Christian Rock and Alternative"... Stryper, Mylon LeFevre & Broken Heart, Petra, Audio Adrenaline, Code of Ethics, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, etc., etc. and then before that... there was all that techno and alternative punk music... Information Society, The Cure, The Ramones, The Clash, The Sex Pistols (even though just watching a DVD about Syd & Nancy made me want to puke!)... well you get the idea!!...............................
I am very much into movies. TOO hard to pick favorites, but I'd say these top my list... THE MATRIX TRILOGY, THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY, THE STAR WARS SAGA and I seem to love the Marvel comics made into movies "usually"... Spiderman Trilogy, XMEN Trilogy, Fantastic 4, etc. (was The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen a Marvel comic?? I liked that one, too!) others I have enjoyed include Willow, Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Last Mimzy and the Harry Potter movies... and WOW-------- THE TRANSFORMERS MOVIE WAS AWESOME!!!! (but then to show some variety... I have to admit I liked The Man From Snowy River and While You Were Sleeping. LOL.) LOOKING FORWARD TO IRON MAN AND THE NEXT RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK AND NARNIA MOVIES - MAY 2008.
I don't really watch much TV but I LOVE watching the Science Channel or Discovery Channel... or occasionally I catch STARGATE (or one of the other Sci-Fi series) on the Sci-Fi Channel. I also did watch Frasier quite a bit "once upon a time"... probably didn't discover it until reruns though. but some unbelievably hilarious episodes nonetheless!
I love books... and it's hard to pick a category that I like to read the most. I can enjoy a good John Grisham novel, but then I can read the Left Behind series and not be able to put any of them down once I start! There is one book that still stands out in my mind vividly... THIS PRESENT DARKNESS by Frank Peretti (if you don't know who he is, he has a talent like Stephen King only he's saved - LOL!) One book I read about a year ago that had me rolling was called "Winter Dance" by Gary Paulsen. Supposedly based on a true story about a guy's experiences training dogs for the Iditerod.
OH SO I FOUND THIS... THOUGHT THIS WAS REALLY COOL... FIGURED I'D ADD IT TO MY SITE:
Lookup a word or passage in the Bible
my One and Only Hero... the One and Only True God! even though if you read the Bible it's hard not to find MANY heroes. I saw the movie "One Night With The King" in early 2007 and once again was reminded of one of the female heroes in the Bible... Esther... could you really do what she did, as far as she risked her life for her entire people? hmmmm...
