What's up Chi-Town,and the World! Glad You could join me. I here hoping this will allow me to get more connected with my peeps (lol). I'm a Chicago native, born and rasied. Music is my passion, for as far back as I can remember.I Started spinning in 1978. Getting my skills in order with a group of inspired DJ's. We called ourselves "HK PHI sound Sensations"! We we're given that name after doing several Frat parties. (lol) We were Named Honorary Frat (per say)By some frat's we ahd played for. Hotmixing was the latest trend then, and I was among the pioneers. Like any other jock out there I started doing house parties. I basements, backyards, schools etc. It was then, I learned. I can do what I love and get paid for it!!! So I broke from the group (that wasn't serious) and I was on my way.
I have worked in many clubs in the Chi, Cotton Club, LA Marige, China Club, Seagulls, AKA'S,Coconuts, Park West, The Whole Grain Room, Heros, 50 yard line, Club Premire, The Original INTAS, Rodmans, The new INTAS,Club Yesterday's(Detroit), The Dating Game .... Man Several others.
I've work along side of a lot of great DJ's and recording artist. Special event's like Taste of Chicago, New Orleans Jazz Festival, Essence Fest, Tom Joyners Fantastic Voyage, Celeb private parties (name's I won't mention).
I've done a lot of private and public record release parties for quite a few major record labels. I've worked as an on air disc jockey back in the mid 80's for WUNS, US99 FM in Chicago. However, I love the mobile/club thing a lot more. Why? I get to see my crowd react, rather that wait for ratings. I love to break new music. So if you got something Hot, Get it to me. I'll try to get it out there. I've been spinning well over 20 years now. Mostly in Chi-Town and the midwest. Now more recently around the country and sometimes out side of the country.I hope to soon have some sample mixes, voice-overs, and hopefully video of some of the affairs that I have worked.
