...............A southwest youngunn, born and raised in NEW MEXICO. KONA started makin music back in '99. An original member of the group HOMEPLATE. Due to group problems, KONA decided to make moves on his own. In 2000 KONA continued his progression recording, and featured on tracks with other artists throughout 2000-2004. While leanin back at a friends studio, he decided to record a solo album with the production help of Dezert Reign, currently known as Flowmatik. Inspired by the streets, and hard times the s.w. youngunn created, and recorded 13 tracks, which became his first solo album locally known, throughout as "SWANG 2 THIS". Selling hundreds of copies, independently and statewide, KONA decided not to quit there, and hooked up with his determined cousin YOUNGTONE. While resideing and hustlin his own cd at a local club in Albuquerque, KONA was noticed and given contact with one of the best producers around EXC. Heavy hit producer EXC, and KONA united to start workin on another album featuring YOUNGTONE, known as the HOMEPLATEHITTAZ. Currently recording in the studio, with released singles "TELL ME HOW YOU FELL", and "LIKE A STAR", KONA shows up, and poes up, performin throughout Arizona and New Mexico. Hittin stages with arists such as YAIVA, JAYNEZ, ILLUMINATION, BONETHUGS-N-HARMONY, PLAY N SKILLS, CLIKA-1, MR.CAPONE E, NB RIDAZ, DAVID WADE, WU-LATINO, RED CLOUD, LAKOTA JONES, JAY ENT, NIKO G, 4 SEEN and the number one rated dj, DJ KISS.
