About Me

Marc Anthony Romero a.k.a. King Montana is a true Hip Hop pioneer. Albuquerque born King Montana is making Hip Hop history as one of the few if not the only disabled performers in the rap industry. King Montana was born in 1980. Since birth he's been physically challenged, he was born with AMC which is a disability that only affects the joints. He gets around in a motorized wheelchair. Despite having a physical disability, King Montana has had his mind set on taking the world by storm with his music. When asked why he chose the name Montana, he replied "Its stands for making someting out of nothing. The Latin struggle Money, Power & Respect." And the "King" comes from, "I look at myself as a modern day king" In 1996 King Montana recorded his first song, this marked the beginning of King Montana's music career. In 2003 King Montana was a member of the rap group Lost Productz, they released a self entitled CD which was a local success. One of the songs from the Lost Productz CD, titled "Senorita" was selected be on an independent film called El Matador starring Paul Rodriguez and Joey Medina. El Matador was released nation wide on DVD. King Montana has performed his music in front of thousands of people. On July, 4 2003 King Montana opened up for multi-platinum selling artist Lil Flip at a sold out show at the Sunshine Theatre in Albuquerque. King Montana has also shared the stage with top Latin artists Frankie J., Baby Bash, Chingo Bling, Kid Frost & Natalie. He has also opened up for Grammy Award winner Mystikal and and Bob Marley's legendary reggae group the Wailers. King Montana was the headline entertainer for WBC Lightweight Champion Ray Sanchez at his prize fight on September 24, 2004 at Albuquerques Kiva Auditorium before 2,500 screaming boxing fans. King Montana has also performed at various strip and night clubs. In December of 2004 King Montana made his national radio debut. He was featured on the single "Que Bonita" by Philly B. "Que Bonita" was played on 30 radio stations across the country on a nationally syndicated Latin Hip Hop show named Pocos Pero Locos hosted by Khool Aid broadcasted weekly from Los Angeles' Power 106. King Montana has received media attention, he did an interview for the local affiliate spanish language TV channel Telemundo which is brodcasted through out the United States & Latin America. When not performing King Montana is in the studio recording new material for upcoming projects and mixtapes. In 2006 King Montana was featured on "Live From The Southwest Part 3 Compilation". Which had guest appearences by DAZ & Kurupt of DPG, 40 Glocc of G-Unit & Jae Millz. King Montana has released his solo debut album "In My Shoes" worldwide via iTunes!! King Montana has just signed with Deka Records. Deka Records will release King Montana's new album King Montana P.O.L.O. Playerz Only Live Once in the United States, Canada & Europe.
