“Armed with a goofy blonde karate-kicking singer whose ego hints at having a BercCracken love/hate punchability factor, Kilmarnock’s Civilised brilliantly agitated the screamo game into gear early on! KKKKâ€

"An entirely different beast follows them(magdelena); in the form of drainpipe jean clad youngsters Civilised. Hailing from Kilmarnock, these handsome young lads fuse razor sharp guitar work and body popping dance moves to create a well-rounded emotive sound that has become very chart recognisable in recent months. Guitarist Stews soaring backing vocals serve to fill in all the cracks and singer Nikys synth lines add yet another layer to an already loaded onion. The song name Invalid Dimensions seems oddly poignant as the band fall happily further down a well of varied influences, and summing up their enthusiasm on exit, Niky hits the nail on the head: Playing King Tuts is like Christmas when youre eight years old.
