About Me

Hello there MySpace people. For a far too long time a ridiculously long piece of words stringed together resided here. It was a vague attempt at writing an ‘About Me’, and a horrific attempt at describing who I am. On a warm summer day, which obviously meant I was inside on my computer, I got absolutely sick of the failed summary and decided to press the backspace button for half a minute or so. I don’t think any person in the world could or should be described in just a few stanzas.
So there, it’s gone. I kind of have to get used to the lack of babbling on this page, but I’m sure eventually it will be filled up again with many arbitrarily chosen things that will have caught my interest over time.
Come say hi, I enjoy meeting people, even if it is in cyberspace.
(By the way: I’m not ninety-seven. I’m secretly eighty years younger).

RANDOM THOUGHTS
I reckon my mind is a dilemma. On one hand I think too much and too long about issues. But on the other hand; you can never really "think too much". True intelligence and peace of mind is finding the balance between the two. I'm still looking..
Can anyone tell me where the line between "No Discrimination" and "Freedom of Speech" is? Thank you.
My favourite novel has been 1984 by George Orwell for quite a while now. I love how Orwell is making you think about what is real and what is not. The future and the whole aspect of time. About life, freedom, manipulation, power. This novel could almost make you question your own existence.
"If both the past and the external world exist only in the mind, and if the mind itself is controllable – what then?"
The media's idea of beautiful really sucks. It does nothing but create insecurities, inequality, depression, people destroying their bodies and lives to fit in, people becoming shallow by only caring about the outside of persons, conflicts, and thousand-and-one more negative things. I'd almost wish for the 16th century, when being chubby was still a sign of health. Fucking media-pressure.
I love poop-on-a-frog humor
Just a tip when you go shopping for clothes next time: Buy something because you like it. Not because you think others will like it.
An amazing(ly true) quote I read somewhere:
"What most people need to learn in life is how to love people and use things instead of using people and loving things."
People who say being a vegetarian is deranged, because "eating meat is in our instincts" or "we are made to eat meat" are deranged themselves. (Or to say it nicely: I don't agree.) Yes, we used to have to eat meat to survive. Yes, we were all hunters back in the old days. But now that we have evolved so greatly over the years, we don't and aren't anymore. I'm not saying we all become vegetarians one day, but it's still a part of evolution. We now have the means to replace the meat properly with vegetarian foods, and live a healthy life without eating meat. So why not save some lives?
Religion is one of the things in the world that is absolutely beautiful & admirable and extremely dangerous & insane at the same time.
To me a good book is one of which I afterwards wish I'd written it myself.
