I wonder about things a lot. Maybe I think too much and sleep too little. Wonder requires us to acknowledge the limits of our knowledge. It is a different species of knowledge; a way of knowing that does not lead to certainties or truths about the world or the way things are. It is a state of mind that, like being in love, colors all that we know we know. I am curious about the motives and the wonder that fills people. Mystery, intangibles, longing, lust, and other simple-but-complex beauties, and how these themes relate to our compulsion to continue.

I have always found solace in language - limitations and all - and I appreciate people with whom I can play bilingual pornographic Scrabble. I sometimes write....
