About Me

This is the Official Saint Paul Youth Myspace. This is where you will find all the new news for the youth group. The youth minister is Stephen Brinkman. He is an awesome youth minister.
We have many great things goin on right now. We are in full force with ur new youth band. We have had many practices and are scheduled to LEAD WORSHIP (not preform) every sunday.
The band consists of the following people, but the more the merrier!
Stephen Brinkman-acoustic guitar, lead vocals
Ian Crabb-lead electric guitar, leader of band
Eric Crabb-rhythm electric guitar, hype man
Luke Martz-bass guitar
Rachel Martz-backround vocals
Jessica Brown-background vocals
Jordan Brown-backround vocals
Cara Ingley-backround vocals
If you would like to be in the band, send us a message or tell Stephen at church. We are also looking into a Drama Team to perform skits. If you would like to join that please send us a message or tell Stephen at church.
We also have a program that is called Wednesday Morning Bible Study. We also (like most churches) have a Wednesday Bible Study. It is called Wednesday Night Supper and the whole church participates. The youth then go to the youth room and have a lesson and than we usually finish up with a game of Ultimate Frisbee. We usually have a group of about 12 to 16. But we are looking to change that.
In the youth room there is a mini pool table, an Xbox (Halo 2!), a full stage, and step seating (it's hard to explain), and a ping pong table.

My Interests

Jesus, good music, other christians, mission trips, any expierience that will advance anyone in their relationship with God!

I hope the week is off and running well for everyone. I just have a couple of things this week.

SKI TRIP

This week I will be setting the dates for the ski trip. The two main dates I am looking at are Dec. 27-30 and January 2-5. These dates keep the youth from missing school or from us traveling late at night to avoid youth missing school. Please let me know in the next couple of days if you have a preference. I will make the decision this week based on your response. Thanks!!!

FALL FESTIVAL

The Fall Festival is October 14, 2007. I will need lots of youth to help set up the various games and inflatables and to help take down the games and get the church back to normal. We will meet right after Sunday School on the 14th to begin setting up. Please plan now to help out with this ministry of our church. We will also have a chance to do some decorating, which the girls usually enjoy, but guys are welcome to help too.

YOUTH BAND

I have some exciting news for the youth band. I have got us our first gig away from the church. Midland UMC has asked us to come, along with the adult band, and play some music for their Fall Festival on October 20. Please mark your calendar now. Any youth or parents that are interested are welcome to come support the band. I will let you know what time they will be playing as I get the info.

GRITS N’ GRACE

Our second grits and grace will be taking place on Oct. 14, 2007 during Sunday School. Dee Armstrong will be coming to share her faith and another great breakfast. This is not only a chance for us to be encouraged and strengthened in our faith, but a chance to invite a friend and lead someone else in the experience of being strengthened and encouraged. Invite as many people as you can!

RAISE THE NAME ‘07

Beacon University is hosting this event, which will feature some local bands and artist, including: Jonathan and Lisa Moore (from Teen Advisors and Souled Out), on October 13, from 3-7pm. I would love to get a group together to go out and support this Christian event in our community. Let me know if you are interested.

That’s all for now. I want to thank the Brays for a great dinner Sunday Night. See you soon!

In Christ,
Stephen
