About Me

Every single day, 30,000 children are dying as a result of extreme poverty.
We have the resources, knowledge and opportunity to end this shameful situation.
The MakePovertyHistory campaign calls world leaders to honour their commitments to the Millennium Development Goals, an eight-point plan for tackling poverty.
The MAKE POVERTY HISTORY SYDNEY VOLUNTEER ACTION NETWORK is looking for people in every state who are willing to dedicate a few hours a month to be part of the international effort to combat poverty. You'll be involved in organising different campaign activities such as the next White Band Day, concerts, forums, media events, school events - whatever your area of interest, there is something you can help with.
The Network is predominately based in Sydney, although people situated in more rural areas are more than capable of contributing to the campaign. Those who are unable to attend our monthly meetings can explore the alternative option of running their own MPH action group.
