Being a boss is never easy, especially when your born and raised in a
state that has a reputation for being a haven for bosses, under bosses,
and
bosses in training. One must have a certain swagger and direction to
live up
to the name "El Patron" (Translated in Spanish for The Boss). Since
his
debut in 2004 the name has stuck thoroughly. His peers respect him for
his
ability to call shots, make critical decisions, and do whatever it
takes for
him and his team to succeed.
Let's not forget to mention his versatility which is an
unparalleled
strength. Not only can the man flip rhymes but he can do it in Spanish
too.
Plus he can get down with some hot production and even has a
back-round
with engineering. Already He's been a major player on two big mix-tape
projects, along with multiple features he's done with other artists.
Patron has major plans to silence any doubters with an upcoming album
release. His highly anticipated debut has the makings to propel this
artist
to a new level. Appealing and charismatic is what this young voice
holds,
soon the rest of California as well as the hip-hop world will find out.
"My music is about hustling and surviving, not just on these
streets, but in this industry as well," explains the 25-year-old San
Diego,
Californian.
"This album is 3 years in the making, lots of up...lots of downs, but
I'm
still here with my head held high. I'm out to put my city on the map, I
love
my hood, and my hood loves me...I treat people with respect and in
return
they respect me, i guess that's why they call me El Patron."
