I'd like to meet:
People who challenge me and make me a better person; People who I can talk to about anything and everything -- including conversations involving both the intellectual and the frivolous. People who are witty, polite, and passionate.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
-- Mark Twain

Music:
u2, foo fighters, the cure, new order, alanis morisette, nine inch nails, nelly furtado, enya, the beatles, timbaland, oasis, unwritten law, cartel, tegan & sarah, john mayer, nickelback, madonna, red hot chili peppers, charlotte martin, jack johnson, rihanna, fall out boy, no doubt, 3 doors down, reba mcentire, trapt, adele, amy winehouse, eminem, coldplay, the fray, gwen stefani, jewel, placebo, shania twain, kelly clarkson
i am a 90's pop baby through and through -- that means that some of my favorites for sure include: spice girls, nsync, britney spears, destiny's child, backstreet boys, and justin timberlake. if a song can make me feel, think, or dance then I will probably like it.
Movies:
GONE WITH THE WIND, gladiator, marie antoinette, donnie darko, pocahontas, now and then, the little mermaid, big daddy, wedding crashers, cruel intentions, couching tiger hidden dragon, star wars, notting hill, crash, girl interrupted, mona lisa smile, sweet home alabama, how to lose a guy in 10 days, the notebook, the godfather, the departed, memoirs of a geisha, titanic, eternal sunshine for the spotless mind, the virgin suicides, hocus pocus, 13 going on 30
Chances are if it has kirsten dunst, julia roberts, kate winslet, vince vaughn, or reese witherspoon in it, I probably like it :)
Television:
greys anatomy, LOST, HEROES, the office,
law and order,
sex and the city,
project runway,
the simpsons,
boy meets world,
gilmore girls,
xena: warrior princess
Books:
To Kill a Mockingbird, HARRY POTTER, a handful of DAN BROWN's and JOHN STEINBECK's novels, e.e. cummings poetry, and (of course) anything written by MARK TWAIN. :)
I like reading non-fiction books about politics, american history and social issues. For the most part, fiction books only appeal to me if they are satirical (Mark Twain) or suspenseful (Dan Brown).
Heroes:
Penguins. Pandas. & Polar Bears.
Stop Global Warming.
Save the Polar Bear.
Polar bear populations are declining. Their drop in population can be traced to another decline: that of sea ice, reduced by global warming. Sea ice is the polar bears’ primary habitat and they rely on it for survival. Unless major actions to reduce global warming are taken, two-thirds of the world’s polar bears are likely to be gone by 2050.
