My Interests

I love to read and I'm a sucker for good conversation. I love my guy friends but I really need my girl time. Psychology is my favorite subject. My dream is to travel the world. Recently, I've begun to really enjoy the outdoor activities Arkansas has to offer. I also enjoy horse playing with Ricky (of course he always wins). Ricky likes deer hunting and hanging out with the boys.
You Are A Poplar Tree
People tend to look up to you, and it's a bit lonely at the top.
Inside, you are not always self confident, but you show great courage.
Mature and organized, you are reliable in any situation.
You tend to have an artistic or philosophical outlook on life.
You are very choosy in love and take partnership seriously. What's Your Celtic Horoscope?

I'd like to meet:

Betty Davis, Jerry Garcia, John Lennon, Truman Capote, Carson McCullers, Harper Lee I'd also like to meet my maternal grandfather. He passed away when my mother was a child.

Music:

Where to begin.. Music is life, at least for me it is. I have a wide variety of tastes. When I was a little girl, my mother used to sing me to sleep with "blackbird" by the beatles. She has a beautiful voice and thanks to her love of folk music, I grew up in a whimsical paradise. I think her ear for and love of music was one of the most beautiful gifts she gave me. I only hope I can pass it on to my children one day.My favorite genres are Classic Rock and Folk music. I also have a weak spot for Classic Country but I'm not really into the modern crap. When it comes down to the Beatles or Elvis, I'm definitely a Beatles girl. The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, The Band, CCR, Peter Paul and Mary, The Mamas and the Papas, Neil Young, The Greatful Dead, Jimmie Driftwood, Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, Sarah McLaughlin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, George Jones, Hank Williams Sr, Willie Nelson, Tool, Phish, Smashing Pumpkins, Cold Play, Weezer, Counting Crows, Soundgarden, Alice and Chains, Pearl Jam, STP, The Talking Heads, Outcast, Ludacris, Dr. Dre, Three 6 Mafia, UGK, Po Pimp, Twista I could go on for hours and still leave some out. I love music. I couldn't live without it. Pretty much anything but modern country and pop.

Movies:

The Shining (Jack Nicholson version), One Flew over the Couckoo's Nest, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, What Dreams May Come, Pulp Fiction, Raising Arizona, Memento, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, The Haunting of Hill House, Super Troopers and anything scary

Television:

I prefer sitcoms to soap operas and dramas. My one exception is House. I love Seinfeld, the Family Guy and Will and Grace. I have been sucked into the abyss that is Reality TV but I'm not proud of it. Yes... I still watch MTV's the Real World. Some of the educational channels also have pretty good reality shows. Ricky likes the History channel and the Discovery channel. He also enjoys watching the Razorback football.

Books:

I'm currently reading "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter" by Carson McCullers. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good southern writer. I'm also a big fan of Tennesee Williams and Flannery O'Connor. Shirley Jackson (The Haunting of Hill House) is another favorite. To Kill a Mockingbird, Catcher in the Rye, One Flew over the Couckoo's Nest, Sophies Choice, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, Tom Sawyer/Huckleberry Finn, The Secret Garden (a lot of these are childhood favorites), The Hobbit, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Misery, Cujo, The Shining (this is a must read), Catch 22 For easy reading I prefer True Crime (the more twisted the better).

Heroes:

Bob Dylan, George McGovern, Bill Clinton I'm pretty sure Ricky's hero is Jesus
