People who have something to offer
I only listen to Norwegian rap. There had always been a longing in my life for an artform that I felt represented me. Norwegian rap has given me the voice that I never managed to establish on my own. A voice that has struggled to characterize and communicate my struggles on the 'street' lived in the greatest urban center in all of Norway. A life lived in darkness frought with danger and desire. A life of dodging baby carriages, a life navigating slick and sometimes icy surfaces, a life filled with the pressures associated with fashioning my look after the most current boybands and seeing others who I percieve to have done a better job, a life teased and seduced by long sunny days only to have them stolen by eternal darkness and cold. That is my life and Norwegian rap is my music.
Any film that sheds light on how I think about humanity, Tarkovsky, most any documentary, any film that has something to contribute to the larger field of cinema, Even if it is only techinal.
Not much time for it, but I do love megastructures and TV documentaries.
